Writing Letters with LaTeX

March 10th, 2011 Comments Off

I wanted to draft a letter to HP’s Investor Relations department today (which I will post soon.) Before I started, I wondered if I must use Microsoft Word for this. The answer, as always, is no. This time, however, it turned out to be easy. Wikibooks has an excellent article with full instructions on how to make a professional letter using LaTeX. As added bonus, it even covers making a (windowed!) envelope for your new, beautiful letter. Throw a classy stamp on the kite and mail it like a boss.

Update: To help those who are learning LaTeX, I have uploaded the (slightly redacted) LaTeX code and the beautiful PDF it generates to GitHub.
